Kpop Demon Slayers
This movie just showed up on our page on Netflix. I hadn't seen any promo material and on a whim I put it on. My son loved the first music number and kept asking me to play it over and over and over. . . you get the point. While the music is gooooood and very catchy (especially Soda Pop), I also enjoyed the animation immensely. The first scene of the trio we follow, Rumi, Mira, and Zoey, sets the stage to what is a hilarious ride. The characters' faces and bodies constantly change, at one point their eyes turn into popcorn that falls out of their eyes. They are quirky and hilarious. The overall theme of the show is SHAME and how it can lead us to hide ourselves from the world. The lead girl Rumi is hiding a secret from her friends and that leads her to start losing her voice. The main antagonist and love interest is the leader of the rival Demon Kpop group sent to stop the girls he is also hiding from his own shame that makes him susceptible to Gwi-ma, the Demon Overlord intent...
